7 Beauty Products I'm Dying To Try Right Now
Hey everyone, I hope you're having a great weekend so far! I don't know why but January always makes me want to...how do I say this...spend a ton of money for no reason? I'm trying to restrain myself as best I can so rather than run to Sephora and purchase every last thing that I want to try right now, I decided to put together a list of all of the products that I want to try right now. Some are new releases like Saturday Skin's Rub-a-Dub Refining Peel Gel, while others like Drunk Elephant's Lala Rose Whipped Cream have been on my radar for a while now. I'm also so excited for this post because it marks the first collaboration of 2018. This illustration is by the insanely talented Dakota Scarlett, who creates these incredible digital illustrations of all of the world's best beauty products. Huge thank you to her for designing the first-ever illustration on Keep Calm and Chiffon!
Saturday Skin Rub-a-Dub Refining Peel Gel, $28
While the concept of skin peels in general still kind of freaks me out, Saturday Skin has such a non-threatening approach to beauty that if I were going to try any peels, itβd be from them. The gel is supposed to scrub away dull skin cells to leave your face refreshed. Iβd probably use this at maximum once a month, but Iβd definitely be curious to try since I love the rest of the line, especially the Daily Essence, which I apply before my nighttime moisturizer, and the Daily Dew that I spray over makeup before I head out for the day.
Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream, $60
Iβm hard-pressed to believe that I could find a moisturizer that I love more than Glossierβs Rich Priming Moisturizer, but Iβll admit Iβm tempted by this Drunk Elephant one. As if the name alone wasnβt dreamy enough, the formula gets rave reviews from everyone who tries it. The only complaint they have (and partly why I havenβt dropped the dough on it myself) is that they mention that for the price you pay you donβt get a whole lot of product. But if it fell into my lap? Iβd smear it all over my face.
Drunk Elephant Shaba Complex Eye Serum, $60
Another Drunk Elephant product! Iβve noticed that lately I feel like Iβve been tugging at my eyes when I go to remove my makeup and Iβd like to be protecting them more. Iβve heard amazing things about this Shaba Complex eye serum from Drunk Elephant. I havenβt tried too many eye creams yet, so Iβd definitely be curious to see if this one would make a difference.
GlamGlow #GlitterMask GravityMud Firming Treatment, $69
Does this product seriously have a title that consists of three words that are actually two words smushed together? Anyway, every time I see someone post a selfie with this mask I feel a massive FOMO that I didnβt even know was possible. This glittery mask is apparently amazing, and it looks like itβd be so much fun to try. Can I justify spending $69 (!!!) on it? I mean thatβs a lot of money, but my love of glitter may overtake me.
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand Highlighter, $38
I was watching Alix of I Covet Thee's best beauty of 2017 video and when she mentioned this product I immediately added it to my βmust-tryβ list. Iβve tried powder highlighters (click here to watch my review of Becca Cosmetics Prosecco Pop) and cream highlighters (hereβs looking at you Haloscope), but this liquid highlighter intrigues me.
Milk Makeup Holographic Stick in Stardust (Holographic Pink), $28
I donβt own any of the Milk Makeup holographic sticks yet, though I am a fan of their Matcha Toner and Cleanser, which both come in stick form. Since Glossierβs cream blush Cloud Paint wasnβt a favorite for me, Iβd be curious to try out a stick blush product and see what itβd look like. This color is definitely out there for me but my willpower is limited when it comes to products like this.
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored, $24
Ever since I tried Fenty Beautyβs Pro Filtr foundation and Match Stix Iβve been wanting to get my hands on more of the brand. As soon as I saw the announcement about launch of the Stunna Lip Paint on Instagram, I knew that this would be the next product I wanted to try and then I saw Allana Davison apply it in one of her recent YouTube videos and I loved the look of it.
What beauty products are you dying to try?

Austen
