Fall Jacket Shopping Guide

Hey everyone and happy Thursday! I hope you’ve had a great week so far.

I just wanted to make a quick comment before we get into this jacket shopping guide: I know I’ve been doing a lot of fashion posts on the blog lately, but that’s what I’ve been most inspired to write about lately and you all still seem to be enjoying them, so I’ll make sure to keep it up! One of the big reasons I wanted to incorporate other categories onto the blog was so that I could challenge myself to write beyond fashion, but since fashion and styling is what started this whole thing anyway I can’t exactly blame myself for the heavier focus. If there are any categories that you particularly love and have missed in the fashion avalanche lately, let me know in the comments and I’ll check back at my idea lists and editorial calendars to see if I can make something work.

Now, let’s get into this post! I know that it’s only the second official week of August, but I can’t help but think ahead to the fall days that are quickly approaching. To me, one of the best parts of a great fall wardrobe is all of the amazing coat and jacket moments that are waiting to happen. (Although I've been wearing this denim fringe one all summer) I don’t know about you, but I just got goosebumps thinking about it! Also in case you are wondering, here are some of the things I look for when I'm jacket shopping:

Fabrics that I love: denim, leather, faux fur, suede

Silhouettes that I love: bomber, biker, trench, blazer

Details that I love: embroidery, fringe, studs, pockets
